Summary

It is a simple DP. There is two ways to climb to stair n, 1) from stair n-1 climb 1 step or 2) from stair n-2 climb 2 steps.

climbStairs(n) = climbStairs(n-1) + climbStairs(n-2);

Solution

class Solution {
public:
    map<int,int> memo = { {0,0},{1,1}, {2,2}};
    int climbStairs(int n) {
        if (memo.find(n) != memo.end())
            return memo[n];
        else
            memo[n] = climbStairs(n-1) + climbStairs(n-2);
        return memo[n];
    }
};
